The riser helps to make changing depth super simple. It also allows the air assist hose somewhere to flow out from which is excellent. The only complaint is that the xTool software now doesn't estimate thicknesses as the honeycomb base sits higher than the original base but that's not that big of a deal.
an absolute definite upgrade and well worth the cash

The riser set comes extremely well packaged like the rest of the xTool products and is a high quality item that allows greater flexibility with what the M1 can be used for. It is easy to assemble, well made and really enhances the look of the machine. Easy to use, it comes with the honeycomb base that helps to reduce scorching, has a designated exit hole for the air assist tubing and is made safe with the orange slider panels that protect eyes from the laser for anyone at a lower level looking upward. xTool put a lot of thought into all of their products and this is no exception.

A great addition to your M1 for engraving larger size items and for using the rotary attachment. Good quality and easily fitted.
