This machine has taken my laser cutting and engraving projects to the next level!
As a proud owner of the Xtool M1 (10W) and Xtool D1 pro (20W) I just couldn't resist getting my hands on the Xtool 55W CO2 laser machine.
The cutting speed alone makes this machine worth it as it has halved the time it took me to make the same project with the Xtool M1 (still love that machine by the way!)
This machine gives me more flexibility to use different materials - I have only tried wood, acrylic plastic and rubber so far but will be trying glass tumbler soon with my RA2 Pro!
The only thing that Xtool could do better with is to provide more support for the RA2 Pro. At the moment, I can't find any parameters settings for the RA2 Pro and this machine. If they could do this, then the possibilities are really endless.
I know that if anything ever happens to my machine, I would definitely be buying another Xtool machine - there is just no competition.
First, be prepared for this as it is a big BIG box and very heavy at about 100 or so pounds.
That being said it didn't take me long to set it up if you do not rush it things will be fine.
I was coming from the S1 which is a good machine but now this P2 is better. My first engraving was on one of the materials they sent. I used the same power settings that I would have used on the S1, to hight but the engraving look brilliant. I was surprised.
Glass was the next one. As glass is a clear material I had the find a way for the system to measure it correctly. I watched a video of a person that used a pece of paper to help with that. I placed an a5 sheet of paper on the item, measured it, took the paper off and engraved. It worked.
In conclusion, the P2 is a beast of a machine that works.
This machine does everything I could ask for. Clear acrylic? No problem. The large bed size and great support makes it a no brainer over other c02 lasers on the market. Five stars without a doubt. I have never used a laser before and made some awesome things the first week!
Ive had the machine for almost a month now and I am in love with it. There is a slight learning curve but once its going, it stays going! Its easy to clean and operate the software. I have previous experience with my D1 pro, so I was familiar, but it is plug and play out of the box. I am super happy with it so far, and hope to continue doing great work.
